Researcher of Comparative Public Law at Faculty of Law of the University of Bologna (since 2010) and co-founder of the Centro Studi sull’America Latina (Department of Political Science). Since 2001 she has been member of research teams in different national and international research projects: Expert for the ‘Harmony with Nature Program, Panel 1 Earth-centered Law’, United Nations (http://www.harmonywithnatureun.org);

Co-coordinator and member of ‘Nuevo programa de posgrado para la formación de OPeradores Transnacionales e INterculturales para la defensa de la naturaleza y la construcción de la paz en la Comunidad Andina (OPT-IN)’, Erasmus +, KA2 – Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices – Capacity Building in the Field of Higher Education (2017-2020); Member of Erasmus+ Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education (CBHE) REMOVE – ‘Repensando la migración desde la frontera de Venezuela: nuevo programa académico en movilidad humana y convivencia en la Comunidad Andina’ (2021-2021); Member of the Bologna team in the PRIN (National Research Projects) ‘From Legal Pluralism to the Intercultural State. Personal Law, Exceptions to General Rules and Imperative Limits in the European Legal Space’ (2020-2023). She has edited 14 books, the last released Come governare l'ecosistema? - How to govern the ecosystem? - ¿Como gobernar el ecosistema? (Bologna, 2018).  She has written more than 50 articles about human rights, constitutional justice, Nature’s rights, etc., published in Italy and abroad, some of them translated in Spanish and published in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Spain.
